Senior Android Developer

We’re looking for a Senior Android Engineer, where you’ll have the opportunity to set the technical foundations and deliver high-quality features at pace. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, can quickly turn ideas into production-ready code, and brings deep expertise in modern Android development.

What you’ll do

• Lead hands-on development of a brand-new Android app experience using the latest practices (Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, Clean Architecture).
• Translate product requirements into reliable, scalable, and well-tested features.
• Collaborate directly with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to move quickly from concept to release.
• Apply your technical insight to influence architecture and implementation choices from the outset.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and maintainability through robust testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support infrastructure powering features, such as experimentation frameworks and performance monitoring.
• Bonus: integrate mobile features with AWS services (Ktor, Fargate, S3, Lambda, etc.) to enable scalable cloud-backed functionality.

About you

• Proven track record delivering consumer-facing Android applications as a senior engineer.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack libraries, with hands-on experience in modern app architectures (MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture).
• Up to date with Jetpack Compose and current Android trends.
• Comfortable making pragmatic technical decisions in fast-moving environments.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, concurrency, threading).
• Experience designing and working with APIs, with a good understanding of integration patterns, documentation and versioning.
• Self-sufficient and proactive, able to take ownership and deliver against agreed outcomes with minimal oversight.
• Clear communicator, effective collaborator, and able to align quickly with cross-functional partners.
