Quality System Engineer

Location: Arendal
We have an opportunity for a detail-oriented Quality System Engineer to develop and implement our Quality Management Systems. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary QMS processes are adequately defined, deployed, developed, and continually maintained.
Another important part of the role will be to communicate the importance of quality awareness to all areas of the business, while encouraging the continuous development of the organization and its processes.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the QMS based on the IATF 16949 standard.
- Stay informed about the latest standards and Customer-Specific requirements.
- Develop new documents and update existing QMS documents (Maintaining the Documentation Management System and documentation control)
- Support and advise all employees through the problem-solving process and QMS maintenance improvement.
- Coach various projects related to QMS.
- Analyze QMS performance and initiate improvements, take corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and perform Internal and External Audits in accordance with internal procedures and IATF 16949.
- Support ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 and IATF 16949 certificate audits.
Skills & Requirements
- Master's or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant disciplines such as Industrial or Chemical
- Minimum 3 years of Quality system management experience, ideally in the battery, automotive, chemical, or related industries.
- IATF 16949 knowledge, understanding and experience, IATF 16949 Auditor certificate is an advantage.
- Experience in developing processes, standards, procedures and documentation in an efficient way to meet IATF and customer requirements
- Understanding of the automotive process approach
- Internal/external auditing knowledge and experience are advantage. (ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001, IATF 16949, VDA6.3)
- Wide knowledge of quality tools and methods, including Problem solving, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5Why, Lessons learned etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of CSRs (Customer Specific Requirements)
