ARENGY is an IT-Digital and Engineering Recruitment and Consulting firm based in the UAE, working with leading global players across advanced industries. We are currently hiring an experienced Network Engineer for one of our clients, a leading Insurance Company based in Dubai


About the Role: The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the management, administration, and continuous improvement of the company's IT networking and security infrastructure. This includes firewalls, routers, switches, SD-WAN, WAFs, and internet connectivity, across both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS and Azure). The role requires a strong technical background, analytical mindset, and the ability to take ownership of complex networking issues and projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, operate, monitor, and maintain complex IP networks and security technologies.
  • Administer and troubleshoot network components including LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, load balancers, and endpoint security.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and changes related to network and security infrastructure.
  • Ensure disaster recovery, patching, upgrading, and vulnerability management are up to date and compliant with internal standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to implement and maintain network and security solutions.
  • Conduct capacity planning and recommend improvements to meet evolving business demands.
  • Use tools such as Wireshark to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Implement and monitor Quality of Service (QoS) measures to optimize performance.
  • Support network environments across on-prem datacenters, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and offices.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate network documentation, configurations, and procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external IT audits and ensure timely action on findings.
  • Maintain up-to-date asset and configuration inventory.
  • Work closely with internal teams to support business requirements and projects.
  • Provide after-hours or weekend support for infrastructure maintenance or emergencies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in IT data networking roles.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes.


Required Skills:

  • Network Security: Hands-on experience with Fortigate, Palo Alto NGFWs, and F5 Load Balancers/WAF (including OWASP Top 10 mitigation).
  • WAN Technologies: Experience with SD-WAN (preferably Cisco Meraki).
  • Switching & Routing: Proficient with Cisco Nexus, ACI Fabric, OSPF, Static Routing, and Policy-Based Routing.
  • Cloud Networking: Exposure to AWS and Azure cloud network design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Other Skills: Familiarity with IDS/IPS, VPN, micro-segmentation concepts, QoS, and tools like Wireshark.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams.
  • Proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.


Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications: Cisco professional-level certifications: CCNP, CCIE, or CCDP.
