Looking for a new opportunity? At SuperCare Health you have the chance to reach your dreams by helping us in serving the healthcare needs of our ever-growing patient population. Matching passion with careers, here hard work has never been so satisfying.
Who We Are
SuperCare Health is the leading post-acute, in-home respiratory care provider in the Western U.S. that has been serving the healthcare needs of our ever-growing patient population for over 50 years. We specialize in respiratory and chronic disease management, delivering innovative solutions to enhance the quality of life for our patients. Our commitment to excellence has made us a trusted partner for healthcare providers across the nation.
What We’re Looking For
SuperCare Health is hiring a Junior Software Developer to build, improve, and maintain our digital tools and internal systems. You’ll work side by side with experienced engineers, learning modern coding practices while writing production-quality code that supports patient care. This role is ideal for someone with solid coding skills and some cloud experience who’s ready to grow into a full-stack developer in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment where speed, reliability, and patient impact matter. We value initiative, grit, and problem-solving over credentials — your ability to debug tough issues, adapt quickly, and deliver working solutions matters more than your degree or years in the industry.
What You’ll Do
Software Development
- Write, test, and deploy scalable web apps and APIs, working across the stack to support real-time healthcare workflows while meeting standards like HIPAA when needed.
- Develop and maintain backend services with Node.js, TypeScript, and Python, and build user-friendly front-end features in React.
- Write complex SQL queries for PostgreSQL or MySQL and use NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB) for caching and flexible storage.
- Build tools and automation to improve deployment and monitoring of apps in AWS (or other cloud platforms) to keep systems scalable, cost-effective, and running 24/7.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Use tools like Jira to track tasks, prioritize, and deliver results quickly in an agile, iterative development cycle.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into reliable, maintainable features.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions to continually improve your skills and the team’s code quality.
- Seek mentorship while steadily taking on end-to-end ownership of small-to-medium features and eventually full production processes.
- Gain hands-on experience with terminal tools (Bash, SSH, tmux) to manage and troubleshoot remote servers.
- Support live systems by diagnosing and fixing production issues under pressure, ensuring zero downtime for patient-facing services.
- Help design and implement monitoring, alerting, and performance tracking solutions to maintain system health and uptime.
- Own projects from concept to production.
- Debug tough issues under pressure, sometimes in live environments.
- Learn from feedback, adapt quickly, and prove your resilience early on.
- Use AI tools to work smarter, but always bring your own reasoning and testing to ensure reliability.
- 2–4 years of practical coding experience (personal projects, internships, or professional).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React) and at least one backend scripting language (Python preferred).
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and version control (Git/GitHub).
- Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) and basic DevOps tools (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to dig into logs/configs, and comfort working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to ambiguity, and stay productive in a high-speed setting.
- Awareness of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) but the discipline to verify, debug, and own your code.
- Experience building secure healthcare or HIPAA-compliant applications.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Knowledge of NoSQL data stores (MongoDB, Redis) for caching or flexible schema needs.
- Prior exposure to system monitoring, alerting, and 24/7 production support.
Our interviews focus on real-world problem-solving — not textbook algorithms.
- You might troubleshoot a live process on a remote server (given logs and context).
- Expect code review and pair-programming sessions.
- We’ll look at how you break down problems, think under pressure, and adapt when things aren’t straightforward.
