We’re seeking a Senior Native iOS Engineer to lead the development of our iOS applications from architecture to deployment, ensuring our News AI Agent performs flawlessly in the hands of mobile users navigating complex, real-time environments.

About the Role:

As a Senior Native iOS Engineer at GNOMI, you will play a central role in building and scaling the core mobile experience of our enterprise-grade News AI Agent. You’ll work closely with our product, design, and AI teams to create fluid, performant, and intelligent interfaces that bring the power of GNOMI directly to professionals on the move.

This is a hybrid role based in New York City with regular in-person collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of GNOMI’s native iOS app.
• Build and maintain advanced, interactive features that integrate with real-time AI responses and agent workflows.
• Optimize performance for low-latency data delivery, large-scale rendering, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate across backend, AI, and design teams to deliver seamless cross-platform functionality.
• Implement and enforce best practices for mobile security, offline access, push notifications, and state management.
• Conduct rigorous testing (unit, UI, regression) to ensure quality at scale.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide mobile engineering standards.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of iOS development experience, with deep expertise in Swift and SwiftUI.
• Strong understanding of Apple’s iOS frameworks, APIs, UIKit, Core Animation, and modern architecture patterns (MVVM, VIPER, etc.).
• Experience building real-time or data-driven applications, preferably in news, finance, or productivity sectors.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration or LLM-based workflows is a strong plus.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with performance in mind.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and background data sync.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, crash monitoring, and analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, Sentry, Xcode Cloud).
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $170,000 – $240,000 (final offer based on experience and expertise).

Discretionary bonus.
