Job Purpose

The Business Intelligence Intern reports to the Sr. VP of Operations to support the organization’s overall business objective of pursuing and implementing continuous improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of operations. The BI Intern is responsible for mining, monitoring, and analyzing operational data, extracting business trends, and developing in-depth reports for management information, subsequently serving as the basis for tactical and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and maintain management reports and dashboards using various tools, including MS-SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), MS-SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Pure Incites, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Coordinate with the client’s IT Department for business reporting and analysis requirements for implementing process automation or setting up business tools for operational efficiency.
  • Monitor transaction processing in the system, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data processed while meeting or exceeding performance measurements.
  • Evaluate all operations workflows regarding accuracy, effectiveness, efficiency, scope, and timeliness.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of various systems and tools used in running operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other business units, including the client's relevant departments, as appropriate and applicable.
  • Other job duties as required.

Educational Requirements

  • Actively pursuing one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in:
      • Data Science
      • Computer Science
      • Mathematics
      • Business Analytics or related fields
Experience Requirements

  • 6-months to 1 year of experience
  • Internship or class projects involving data analysis, dashboards, or reports
  • Experience using analytical tools such as:
    • Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
    • SQL (for data extraction)
    • Python or R (for data cleaning, visualization)
    • Tableau or Power BI (for dashboards)
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Data cleaning and preprocessing
    • Descriptive statistics
    • Interpreting data trends and visualizations
    • Familiarity with Google Analytics, CRM data, or survey data

The Pay Range For This Role Is

16 - 18 USD per hour(Metrocenter)
