Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using .NET Core and Microsoft Orleans;
- Design and implement test suites (unit, integration, performance) to ensure backend reliability;
- Profile and resolve performance bottlenecks in services and databases;
- Work with Azure services (Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Monitoring);
- Manage and optimize Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and other Azure-backed data services;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game developers, DevOps, and QA;
- Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to backend deployment automation.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development with .NET Core;
- Experience with Microsoft Orleans or similar actor-based/distributed frameworks;
- Good understanding of Azure cloud services and Azure databases;
- Proficient in asynchronous programming, RESTful APIs, and microservice architecture;
- Strong knowledge of test automation and experience with tools like xUnit, Moq;
- Ability to analyze logs, monitor metrics, and troubleshoot live backend systems;
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL data stores;
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, and portable code;
- Good communication skills in English, and ability to work with remote teams.
- Prior experience in the gaming industry or real-time multiplayer backends;
- Experience with PlayFab, GameSparks, or custom backend stacks for games;
- Understanding of LiveOps, leaderboards, or matchmaking systems;
- Familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine integration from a backend perspective.
