We are proud to introduce an exciting opportunity within Global Retail Brands, Australia's premier specialty homewares retailer, boasting a vast network of 300 stores nationwide. The Junior Designer plays a key role in creating visually compelling and effective designs for price tickets, promotional materials, point-of-sale assets, and social media content with a strong sales promotional tone of voice.
We are seeking a Junior Designer to join our Marketing team, specialising in the creation of price tickets, POS materials, and in-store promotional content. This role works closely with the wider marketing and design team to support the production of visually compelling layouts that communicate key messages, reinforce brand identity, and engage customers. A strong focus on InDesign is essential, along with a keen eye for detail and a passion for retail design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Price Ticket & Callout Design – Support the creation of bespoke tickets and callouts for brands including MyHouse, House Bed & Bath, House, and Robins Kitchen.
- POS Material Support – Assist in designing promotional point-of-sale materials for print and in-store display, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
- Campaign Support – Contribute to the development of marketing campaign assets, including visuals, copy overlays, and simple video content for in-store screens.
- Collaboration – Work closely with the wider marketing and merchandising teams to ensure design outputs align with brand standards and highlight key products and promotions.
- Process Assistance – Help improve the efficiency of design workflows and support the transition to more automated systems and processes.
- Quality & Timeliness – Ensure all creative assets are accurate, consistent, and delivered on time to meet campaign deadlines.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience or education in graphic design, ideally in a retail or fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign; basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
- Good understanding of print design and promotional materials.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Collaborative mindset, able to take direction from senior designers and work effectively with marketing and merchandising teams.
- Enthusiasm for design trends, retail visuals, and learning new skills in a dynamic environment.
This full-time position offers the opportunity for you to join a fast-paced, highly dynamic Marketing team and environment, and to help support and contribute towards the growth of Global Retail Brands. This is a very exciting time to join the company as you will be part of a large, experienced and super-fun team, working 5 days in the office on St Kilda Road with access to lots of public transport, cafes nearby and with dogs in the office – this is a role not to be missed!
