Well established financial institution looking for an experience Data Business Analyst

Hybrid working model | 6 months + possible extensions | up to $900 incl super | Melbourne CBD

Your new role

• The Senior Investment Data Business Analyst is a critical liaison focused on building strong relationships across the organizations investment teams, to understand and translate their data needs into effective solutions.
• This role combines stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills with technical expertise to assess stakeholder needs, document requirements, model process flows, support testing, and evaluate change impacts.
• The analyst will collaborate with data engineers, internal software development teams, and external vendors, to deliver solutions that address business needs.
• Knowledge of SQL, database design, agile methodologies, investment operations, and market data providers will be valuable.

Skills and Qualifications

• Exceptional understanding of financial data and data providers
• Subject matter expertise in data analytics, data mapping and data interrogation.
• Mid-to-advanced SQL query skill set.
• Exposure to python, R, Power Query and other data wrangling technologies.
• Experience in data migration or data onboarding programs.
• A passion for data quality evidence through a professional certification (i.e.: DMBOK, etc.).
• Project management methodologies, e.g. PMBOK, Prince2, Agile
• Confluence and JIRA
