ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Designer to join our team. This is a critical role for an individual who can work at both strategic and individual contributor level. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our product, ensuring every experience is intuitive, effective, and delightful for our users.
This role requires end-to-end ownership of the design process and acting as a strategic partner to our product and engineering teams. You will be responsible for:
- Strategic Definition: Partnering with Product Managers to define and refine the product roadmap. You'll translate complex business needs and user problems into clear, well-defined design opportunities.
- Deep User Advocacy: Planning, executing, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, usability tests, data analysis) to develop a deep, empathetic understanding of our users' behaviors and pain points.
- Full-Cycle Design: Taking product ideas from initial concepts and feature scoping through to polished, final designs. This includes creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces.
- Design System Contribution: Maintaining and evolving our Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all product platforms.
- Execution & Quality: Collaborating closely with engineers throughout the development cycle to ensure the final shipped product matches the high standards of your design and meets all usability requirements.
- Pragmatic but Clear Design Process: You should know what a design process is and how to follow one, where to dive deep and where to pull back.
- Thought Leadership: Leading design critiques, providing constructive feedback to peers, and clearly articulating design rationale and trade-offs to stakeholders
- Vienna: Our HQ is based in Vienna. Although we try to minimize travel, you will be expected to travel to check in with the team leads.
ABOUT YOU
You are a proactive, systems-thinking designer with a passion for solving complex problems. You'll be joining us at the most exciting possible time as we scale our platform and embark on major initiatives that will define our market presence.
- Experienced Builder: You have 5+ years of professional experience in product design, delivering successful B2B SaaS or complex consumer applications.
- Track Record: You've played a key role in creating impressive products, teams, or companies, particularly in high-caliber, early-stage environments. You understand that speed of execution is a significant competitive advantage and know how to move quickly while maintaining quality
- Strategic & Hands-On: Your portfolio demonstrates not just beautiful interfaces, but a clear, strategic approach to problem-solving. You are comfortable jumping between high-level strategy and detailed pixel-perfect execution.
- Action-Oriented & Ownership-Driven: You excel at getting things done and making progress in dynamic environments. You're a strong communicator who enjoys taking ownership and bringing new ideas to life. You're proactive in involving customers and team members to refine and improve your work
- Comfortable with Ambiguity: You understand that initial product ideas can be abstract, but you have the ability to bring them to life through thoughtful design and iteration.
- Self-Driven and Entrepreneurial Mind Set: You thrive in an environment where you are given significant ownership, can prioritize your own work, and proactively drive projects forward from ambiguity to clarity.
Must have qualifications:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design or related field.
- A strong, well-articulated portfolio demonstrating a history of shipping high-quality product experiences.
- Expert proficiency with end-to-end design tools and prototyping software.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to and work within established design systems.
- Valid work permit in our home country Austria, or in one of our hubs in the UK, France or Germany
Bonus points for:
- Prior experience in a scale up environment, especially in supply chain, fintech or CRM fields
- Fluency in German language, both written and spoken
