This is an unique opportunity to shape the data strategy of a fast-growing private equity platform while working directly with senior leadership.

Your Role & Responsibilities

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that touches every corner of our firm. As we are a fast-growing firm, in addition to the core responsibilities of this role (Infrastructure & Architecture, Analytics & Insights), you have the opportunity to further shape this role and take up wider responsibilities across our Finance & Operations and Investment teams. Main aspects of the role include:

  • Establish data governance frameworks, security protocols and back-up procedures;
  • Maintain and optimize the data infrastructure for performance and efficiency

  • Develop business intelligence and analytics in the form of dynamic dashboards and applications to track financial data, KPIs, benchmarks, insights on our portfolio, et ... ;
  • Build predictive models and benchmarking capabilities for our portfolio;
  • In close collaboration with the investment & finance teams, generate actionable insights for investment decision-making and portfolio optimization;
  • Further Leverage technology and AI to generate insights that go beyond the traditional KPI dashboarding
  • Areas to which scope can extend to (non-exhaustive)
  • Build a long-term view on how Maxus can use data, software and AI to outperform as a platform;
  • Support and take ownership of Maxus' internal Information Technology systems and tools;
  • Monitor and strengthen our cybersecurity practices

Requirements

We're looking for someone with strong technical capabilities, who thrives in a fast-paced environment where autonomy, pragmatism and ownership are valued.

  • Understanding of data warehousing and data pipeline development;
  • Familiarity with API development and integration;
  • Familiar working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP);
  • Strong quantitative background with experience in financial data analysis;
  • Having had some exposure to, or a strong affinity with, private equity, investing or finance-adjacent environments is an added-value but not required, a strong interest in private equity and eagerness to learn fast can make up for a lack of prior exposure to it;
  • Resourceful, hands-on and solutions-oriented, you're comfortable building from scratch as well as improving what has been built before;
  • Passion for data, tooling, automation, data science algorithms and the smart application of AI;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages are a plus;
  • Based in or willing to work regularly from our Ghent office.

Benefits
