Information Technology Project Manager

Our client, a renowned healthcare Insurance provider across Belgium. We are looking for an IT Project Manager for a series of complex IT Application and Data migration & implementations projects across matrix structures - changes and software changes (off-the-shelf or custom development).

Overall objectives :

• Manages the IT part of multiple projects, in line with our IT strategy, architectural & security guidelines and policies;
• Successful, qualitative and secure delivery of project scope within agreed timing and budget;
• Successful planning and execution of the assigned projects with the following project management controls: gate documents, non-
• functional requirements, IT project estimations (supported by top down & bottom-up estimation techniques), monthly project status
• updates, project schedules, time tracking, (steerco) presentations, (steerco) meeting minutes, action logs, risk logs… use of toolset & templates.

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Legacy System Transformation Demonstrated success in leading large-scale legacy system replacements, leveraging a mix of off-the-shelf solutions, phased rewrites, refactoring, and integration into broader enterprise application landscapes - AS/400 or Mainframe etc

• Global Delivery & Offshore Collaboration Proven experience in establishing or significantly enhancing offshore collaboration models, particularly with development and support teams based in India, ensuring seamless integration and delivery across geographies.

• Procurement & Vendor Management.

• Strategic Portfolio Planning Skilled in shaping multi-year project roadmap.

• Project Delivery Excellence 5 to 10 years of experience in managing extended, multi-phase IT projects, with a strong emphasis on planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

• Consultative Leadership Trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance and strategic input throughout the transformation journey to support decision-making and foster alignment across business and IT

Requirements :

• Large and proven experience in leading and monitoring multiple projects in a matrix structure (at least 3 years);
• Profound knowledge of the following is a plus:
• Project management methodology (preference Prince2);
• Agile/scrum development in practice;
• IT Service Management framework (preference ITIL);
• Experience with tools that are used : MS Project Online, Jira, Confluence, … Release train development;
