Full Stack Developer – Brussels (On-Site) – European Commission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications with a focus on responsive and mobile-first design.
  • Implement and optimize front-end features using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular).
  • Develop robust back-end solutions using Java 6+, Spring (Core & MVC), Hibernate/JPA, and relational databases (Oracle/MySQL).
  • Ensure application interoperability using SOA, REST, SOAP, and ESB technologies.
  • Collaborate with teams using Agile principles, version control (Git, SVN, TFS), and CI/CD tools (Maven, Bamboo).
  • Produce clear technical documentation and presentations.
  • Apply best practices for accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0/2.1, WAI-ARIA) where applicable.

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, NGRX, React, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of UX design best practices, especially in responsive and mobile-first design.
  • Good knowledge of Spring frameworks, REST principles, and database management.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
  • Familiarity with UML diagrams and enterprise service bus technologies is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 16 years of professional experience in software development.

Location: Brussels (On-Site).
