Position: Full Stack Developer / Engineer

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Location: Onsite – GGL Security Headquarters, Limerick, Ireland

Role Overview

As a Senior Full Stack Developer / Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and continuous enhancement of applications within GGL’s global logistics visibility and monitoring ecosystem. This position blends hands-on software engineering with solution design and technical leadership.

You will work onsite with cross-functional teams — including operations, SOC, and infrastructure — to improve performance, develop new platform modules, and integrate data from CCTV, alarm, GPS, and IoT systems. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will ensure that GGL’s products continue to evolve as scalable, secure, and resilient technology ecosystems supporting our international operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of front-end and back-end web applications supporting the AOV platform.
• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance systems integrating multiple data sources and APIs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance functionality, data accuracy, and automation.
• Implement and maintain best practices for coding, version control, testing, and deployment.
• Work closely with infrastructure, SOC, and database teams to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Mentor junior developers and interns, promoting technical excellence and adherence to development standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, documentation, and innovation initiatives within the platform.
• Maintain compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and confidentiality standards.

What We Look For in You

• 4–6 years of professional experience in full-stack web application development.
• Proven ability to manage the end-to-end development lifecycle — design, build, test, deploy, and support.
• Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and REST API integration.
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and back-end environments (Spring Boot, Node.js, or equivalent).
• Experience in cloud and virtualised environments (Azure, GCP, AWS, VMware, or similar).
• Exposure to CCTV, alarm, GPS, or IoT data integration is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in a secure environment, adhering to confidentiality and operational protocols.
