Job Title: Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE)

Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

Salary: €60,000 – €65,000 + Standard Benefits

Overview:

A leading organisation in Dublin is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join its infrastructure team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position offers a hybrid working model, with three days onsite and two remote, and provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work with enterprise-grade network security technologies in a dynamic environment.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of secure network infrastructure, with a strong focus on Cisco ISE, wireless technologies, and routing & switching. This is a hands-on technical role that will suit someone with a solid background in Cisco networking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, manage, and maintain Cisco ISE for network access control and policy enforcement.
• Support and optimise wireless networking infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Maintain and troubleshoot routing and switching infrastructure (Cisco-based).
• Monitor network performance and security, responding to incidents and implementing improvements.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure secure, reliable connectivity across the organisation.
• Document configurations, changes, and processes in line with IT standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a network engineering or network security role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ISE (design, deployment, and management).
• Solid understanding of wireless networks, including configuration and performance tuning.
• Proficient in routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP).
• Familiar with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CCNP Enterprise, or equivalent) are advantageous.
