Main Responsabilities and Duties

• Develop and apply AI/ML methods and bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis and interpretation of genomic and multi-omics datasets.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of models in emerging and impactful genomic domains.
• Collaborate with researchers, data scientists, and domain experts to optimize scientific discovery and clinical translation processes.
• Benchmark and evaluate existing workflows, models, and tools, and propose improvements.
• Prepare reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• PhD (or Master’s with equivalent experience) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of post-degree experience in bioinformatics or data science roles.
• Strong expertise in machine learning and predictive modeling.
• Proven experience in genomic data analysis, variant interpretation, and/or multi-omics data integration.
• Proficiency in Python, common bioinformatics tools and UNIX.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with benchmarking and evaluation methodologies.
• Familiarity with deep learning and/or large language models.
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration systems (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake).
• Experience with cloud computing or big data frameworks.
• A track record of publications in relevant areas.
