We are looking, on behalf of one of our clients — a major public financial institution in Luxembourg — for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to strengthen its Data & Analytics division.

This is a 12-month assignment with possible extension.

The selected candidate will play a key role in the development and maintenance of the organization’s data warehouse and BI environment, supporting business lines with reliable, high-quality data insights and reporting solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and support the design of database models (Entity–Relationship modeling).
• Develop and optimize SQL and advanced PL/SQL scripts under Oracle.
• Design, develop, and maintain data integration flows using Talend (Data Integration) and PL/SQL (ETL/ELT).
• Contribute to the implementation of analytical reporting using MicroStrategy (semantic layer, reports, dashboards).
• Support end users in defining KPIs and ensure consistency and accuracy across BI systems.
• Optionally, contribute to Java programming or database administration tasks (considered an asset).
• Keep abreast of new developments in data architecture, AI, and Big Data solutions.

Profile & Experience

• 10+ years of proven professional experience in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering.
• Excellent understanding of data-related concepts: BI, Data Warehouse, Big Data, AI, etc.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL expertise under Oracle (mandatory).
• Good command of Talend and MicroStrategy (intermediate level).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or Java is an advantage.
• Fluent in French and English (both required).
