We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our agile development team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Java and Spring Boot, with a proven track record of developing scalable, high-performance applications on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is crucial for the design, development, and maintenance of our core backend services, essential to our microservices infrastructure.

Project
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our agile development team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Java and Spring Boot, with a proven track record of developing scalable, high-performance applications on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is crucial for the design, development, and maintenance of our core backend services, essential to our microservices infrastructure.
Role
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, secure, and efficient RESTful APIs.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of our microservices architecture.
- Implement and manage service deployment on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Work with Kubernetes for application container orchestration and management.
- Ensure the scalability, resilience, and monitoring of services in the cloud environment.
- Work within a cross-functional team in Agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban).
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality coding practices.
- Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to integrate end-to-end solutions.
- Interact with and optimize operations with SQL databases (or NoSQL, depending on the service).
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a primary focus on Java.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building services and APIs.
- Proven experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its related services.
- Solid understanding and experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Strong experience in API design and developing RESTful services.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery).
- Hands-on experience with Docker for application containerization.
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Firestore).
