Senior Data Engineering Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of skilled data engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and scaling data engineering teams, with deep expertise in AWS technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand a team of data engineers to design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Advocate for and implement best practices in data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Define and support data governance processes while driving data privacy initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data requirements, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee the development and deployment of data platforms and applications on AWS, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Foster a team culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven ability to mentor and coach team members effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Experience managing remote teams.
- Expertise in AWS services, particularly in data-related domains.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, query languages, and big data technologies.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting data pipelines and cloud-based services.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
- Strong documentation skills (processes, diagrams, technical designs).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Passion for software development and data engineering.
- A proactive, hands-on, problem-solving approach.

- Technical writing proficiency.
- Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (Secure SDLC) practices.
