For one of our clients in Bern, we are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who will contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of modern, secure, and automated infrastructure environments. You will work in a DevSecOps model and take responsibility for both VDI and Cloud-based solutions, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance infrastructure within a DevSecOps framework, including
- Service Request, Incident, Change, and Monitoring Management.
- Design, implement, and operate VDI and Cloud-native solutions (VMware, Kubernetes, AWS, or OpenShift).
- Automate and optimize deployment processes using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure and efficient delivery.
- Support continual improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and governance requirements.
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science (Uni/ETH/FH) or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in DevOps environments with focus on VDI, Cloud, or Infrastructure automation.
- Strong knowledge of VMware (vSphere) and related virtualization tools.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, AWS, or OpenShift.
- Skills in automation and scripting (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python, NETCONF/YANG).
- Familiar with CI/CD tools, REST APIs, and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript).
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
Nice to Have
- Experience building highly available systems and using modern DevOps tools.
- Certifications such as CKA / CKAD / CKS or relevant VMware/Kubernetes credentials.
- Background in agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, DevOps).
