My client is one of Europe’s largest in-house IT service providers supplying end-to-end technology solutions to more than 100,000 clients worldwide. Their workplace services team supplies, maintains and assures every desktop, laptop, printer and device across this customer base, and extends to full service desk and field support. Customer and business security is at the heart of all these operations and a new senior role has arisen to oversee this.


The role is head of workplace services privacy and security, reporting to the global head of workplace services. This is fantastic opportunity to contribute and influence at the highest level across a highly regulated and fast-changing business landscape.


The role will be responsible for ensuring all technology platforms, collaboration tools, infrastructure and workplace systems operate securely, comply with relevant regulations, and protect sensitive corporate and personal data.


Specifically:


  • Defining and executing the workplace technology security strategy, embracing compliance and supporting group business strategy
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging security, compliance, and privacy trends, influencing technology investment and operational priorities
  • Assure constant capacity to proactively monitor, detect, and respond to security risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and resolve security findings, reducing the overall attack surface
  • Oversee internal and external audits related to workplace technology, data management and user access
  • Drive effective communication and partnership across internal governance, regulatory bodies and key teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Build then lead a cohesive and motivated workplace security team to meet all business demands


Experience required:


  • 10+ years leadership in IT security, compliance, audit and data privacy across a 10,000+ global client group
  • Experience specifically implementing security controls across workplace devices, services and platforms
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and security standards and frameworks
  • Team leadership within a complex international colleague matrix
  • Hands-on success in security incident handling and resolution
  • Proven strategic thinking with evidence of positive commercial impact
  • Strong knowledge of workplace collaboration platforms and cloud security principles
  • You must speak business English and have a current permanent working visa to work in the EU (no visa sponsorship available)
