We are recruiting a Senior Software Engineer with PHP ( Laravel) for our client, a start-up that develops a Saas product, that is used already in 30 countries.

This cloud-native solution automates processes in a field where, until recently, work was done using legacy applications on on-premises servers or even with pen and paper.

Our client is open to both CIM and B2B collaboration with a hybrid work model - 2 days a week from the office in Iași.

Responsibilities

• Drive the full product development lifecycle — from concept and design to deployment and ongoing support.
• Build and maintain robust, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs and align with strategic goals.
• Optimize application performance for production-scale environments.
• Work hand-in-hand with Frontend developers and other engineers to integrate features and solve technical challenges.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a backend Software Engineer, with strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality software systems.
• Hands-on experience developing high-availability applications or SaaS platforms.
• Strong grasp of software architecture, testing methodologies, and agile development practices.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments, with a flexible and adaptive mindset.
• Practical experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure platforms.
