The Network Senior Engineer is responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing the bank’s network infrastructure, ensuring security, reliability, and high performance. This role supports strategic projects and collaborates closely with systems, and applications teams. The role also includes managing network-related SLAs and vendor contracts.

What you can expect from us

  • Design, manage, and optimize LAN, WAN, and data center networks.
  • Ensure network availability, performance, and security.
  • Manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Collaborate with others teams to manage network security solutions.
  • Monitor networks and services to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • Manage digital transformation projects, cloud migrations, and network optimization initiatives.
  • Manage and track SLAs and contracts with network vendors and service providers.
  • Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Provide mentoring and technical support to junior team members.

What we expect from you

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer
    Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience
    in network engineering, preferably in financial or enterprise
    environments.

  • Advanced knowledge of network
    protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN.

  • Experience with routing and
    switching technologies (Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of firewalls,
    IDS/IPS, load balancers, and secure networking solutions.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills
    and experience managing complex network incidents.

  • Familiarity with network
    monitoring and performance tools.

  • Experience managing SLAs and
    contracts with network service providers.

  • Proficient in English, both
    written and spoken.

  • Knowledge of Italian is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Industry certifications:
    CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent.

  • Experience with SD-WAN and
    cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Scripting and automation skills
    (Python, Ansible, Terraform).

  • Familiarity with multi-site,
    large enterprise, and international networking environments.

    communication, technical and non-technical.

  • Ability to work in
    multidisciplinary teams and lead complex projects.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in
    a regulated and fast-evolving environment.

    SLAs and vendor contracts.

  • Successful delivery of network
    projects on time and within budget.

  • Reduction of network incidents
    through proactive activities.

  • Italian language
