Overview of the opportunity
- Nature of role: Full time, from office.
- Residency & work permits: must be either a UAE citizen or a resident with valid work authorization.
- Sales experience reqd.: 4+ years of local UAE experience in building a strong sales pipeline and closing deals for software solutions & consulting services to banks, non-bank lenders, investment houses, insurers, capital market firms etc. Sales experience in other Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait etc. would be a strong advantage.
- Experience NOT relevant to this role:
- Inside sales: This role requires hands-on B2B sales experience across the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to deal closure & client relationship management. Applicants with only Inside Sales experience need not apply.
- Non-BFSI or B2C sales experience: Experience of selling to corporates or non-BFSI clients, or retail sales is not relevant for this role and will not be considered.
- Areas of past experience required: Experience of having directly sold software and / or consulting services to one or more of the following departments in a bank, non-bank lender, investment house, insurance firm or capital markets firm:
- Finance & Accounts
- Risk Management
- Treasury / Investments
- Compliance or audit
- Analytics & business intelligence
- Data management & IT
- General competencies expected:
- Existing relationships in the risk, finance, treasury, compliance, audit and IT departments of banks, investment houses, non-bank lenders, insurance firms, capital market firms etc.
- Knowledge of banks, investment houses & insurers and role of various departments
- Familiarity with CRM systems for tracking outreach results, leads, pursuits etc.
- Strong communication skills with enthusiasm and passion required to persuade B2B prospects
- Desirable competencies: Awareness of regulations for banks, investment houses and insurers.
- Educational qualification: Graduate or Master’s degree.
- Language requirements: Ability to write & speak fluently in English and Arabic
- Software skills reqd.: Strong command on Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel is expected.
Detailed expectations from role:
Key performance metrics:
- Cash revenue generated during the financial year and revenue sold for future years.
- Leads generated for products / accounts allocated
- 360-degree view of each opportunity, including influencers & decision makers, competitors, procurement process, Acies’ perceived positioning and risks that can derail the opportunity.
- New relationships developed in the marketplace and sales in new accounts.
- Sales with SI partners and sales with consulting partners.
- Adherence to internal sales operations processes and organization’s policies.
Other relevant information:
- Work permit requirements: UAE citizen or a resident holding valid work permit to work in UAE
- Period of engagement: Full-time
- Probation period: 6 months
- Leave: 22 working days a year. Additional leaves for national holidays, sick leaves, maternity and paternity, bereavement and studies vary based on the country of engagement and local laws.
Selection process:
We seek to be transparent during the selection process. While the actual process may vary from the process indicated below, the key steps involved are as follows:
- Interview: There are expected to be at least 3 rounds of interviews. The number of interview rounds may increase depending on the criticality and seniority of the role involved.
- Final discussion on career and compensation: Post final selection, a separate discussion will be set up to discuss compensation and career growth. You are encouraged to seek any clarifications you have during this discussion.
Preparation required:
It is recommended that you prepare on the following aspects before the selection process:
- List down the client organizations where you have relationships and the functions / departments where the relationships lie. This shall form the primary focus of the interviews, so it is in your interest to have this documented and ready before the interview process starts.
- Landscape of the market in UAE with respect to consulting services and software solutions used by the risk management, finance, treasury, compliance and IT functions of financial institutions.
