About The Role

This is not a traditional business analyst role — you will work at the intersection of business

process understanding, AI-driven solution design, and product configuration. You’ll be

the voice of the customer within the product, and the face of the product for the customer.

At Emplay, we build intelligent AI copilots using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation

(RAG), and agentic orchestration to automate high-value enterprise workflows across Sales,

Procurement, Marketing, and other business functions. In this role, you'll partner with

customers and cross-functional teams to turn complex business needs into scalable AI

workflows, well-structured data flows, and meaningful reporting frameworks.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following (or closely related) disciplines: Computer

Science, Information Systems

  • Candidates with postgraduate degrees (MBA, M.Tech, M.Sc.) in relevant fields and a

strong foundation in technology, analytics, or AI are encouraged to apply.

  • Coursework or certifications in AI/ML, Python programming, SQL, business

analytics, or prompt engineering will be considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Discovery & Problem Mapping: Engage with customer stakeholders to

understand business processes, pain points, and potential for intelligent automation.

  • AI Solution Design & Agent Configuration: Translate functional requirements into

agentic AI workflows using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and Emplay’s orchestration framework.

Define which agents to use, how they should behave, and what data they need.

  • KPI Definition & Data Understanding: Identify relevant metrics and design KPIs to

measure impact. Work with data teams to map and validate datasets that feed into AI

and reporting workflows.

  • Prompt Design & Flow Structuring: Collaborate on creating prompt chains, fallback

logic, and conversational agent flows. Support prompt engineering efforts and logic

testing.

  • Data Interpretation & BI Reporting: Collaborate with data teams to define meaningful

visualizations. Interpret trends, identify anomalies, and tell a data-backed story to

support business decision-making.

  • Documentation & Engineering Handoff: Create clear functional specs, user stories,

process flows, and test plans for development. Ensure traceability from business goal to

implemented solution.

  • Testing & Iteration: Lead UAT, evaluate agent output quality (e.g., accuracy,

hallucinations, UX), and iterate on prompts and design patterns based on feedback.

  • Architecture Thinking: Contribute to solution architecture diagrams covering business

logic, technical components, and integration points across systems.

  • Use Case Expansion & Product Evangelism: Identify opportunities to expand within

client accounts, promote the product internally, and partner on rollout and adoption

strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience as an Intern or Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Solution

Consultant in a SaaS, AI, or enterprise software environment.

  • Proven ability to gather requirements, define KPIs, model workflows, and communicate

solutions to both technical and business audiences.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and extraction.
  • Working knowledge of Python (pandas, numpy) for exploratory data analysis and light

scripting.

  • Strong conceptual grasp of BI reporting, including selecting the right graphs,

interpreting patterns, and drawing actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with LLMs, prompt design, RAG architectures, and multi-agent

orchestration.

  • Exposure to designing or interpreting solution architecture diagrams across business

logic, data flow, and system integration layers.

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working in agile/scrum environments with

distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/LLM stacks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or vector databases

(Weaviate, pgvector, Pinecone).

  • Exposure to conversational interfaces, AI copilots, or agent-based automation.
  • Background in consulting, enterprise delivery, or cross-functional product roles.
