Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated summer 2026 Software Engineer intern to join one of Autodesk's teams developing industry leading collaboration software. During this internship you will solve unique challenges while working on meaningful projects in world-class software solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an organization committed to solving real-world customer issues as well as continuous internal improvement. The ideal candidate is a strong programmer who thinks creatively, is naturally innovative, highly collaborative, and has a passion for developing software with cutting edge features that are far reaching and have real impact.
Responsibilities
The 2026 Canada Internship program runs for 16 weeks (May 4th – August 21st, 2026). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Responsibilities
- Object oriented program languages C++, C#, Java and Python
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in team environment and successfully build collaborative relationships
- Knowledge of Autodesk software is a bonus!
- Must be at least 18 and enrolled in college or non-traditional education, such as coding boot camps or industry-related vocational classes and returning back to school or program following the completion of this internship
- A mix of previous internship, school project, volunteer and leadership experience
