Remote - Western Canada: This role has the opportunity to be fully remote. If you are the successful candidate and reside in the Lower Mainland, BC, it is a hybrid position that would occasionally require some in-office attendance, subject to the needs of the business.
Hours: The required working hours for this role are 9:00am-5:00pm Pacific time, regardless of your location.

What You’ll Do
The Frontend Developer on our Production team leverages a deep understanding of web development and a commitment to quality to create compelling digital experiences. Your strong practical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and various tools and frameworks will be crucial to our success.
You will lead development projects and also assist in larger ones, as well as integrating new technologies into our workflows and libraries. Through your attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement, you'll help maintain and enhance our internal development standards, frameworks, and systems. Additionally, you will actively participate in peer reviews, ensuring the robustness of our design solutions and the code we produce.
Responsibilities
- Lead development projects and assist in larger ones.
- Research and integrate new technologies into workflows and libraries.
- Uphold internal development standards and contribute to the design and maintenance of internal libraries, frameworks, and systems.
- Account for the quality of code produced via reviews and testing.
- Participate actively in peer reviews of solution design and related code.
Skills and proficiencies
- BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of web project delivery in an agency environment
- Expertise in writing semantic HTML, modular CSS, and performant JavaScript.
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript principles
- Excellent working knowledge of React
- Working experience with Next.js is a bonus
- Familiarity with PUG or similar HTML templating systems.
- Familiarity with current design and prototyping tools (primarily Figma).
- Strong understanding of UX principles, including user-centricity, consistency, hierarchy, context, user control, and accessibility (ADA WCAG 2.0 protocols).
- Familiarity with frontend design patterns and common command line tools like NPM, NVM, and SSH.
- Excellent written communication, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
Security
Successful candidates will have experience in managing sensitive information, underscored by a clear understanding of and adherence to confidentiality and data protection principles.
Salary Range
Our pay range is $90,000-105,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as market location, job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
