Background
In the context of the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, iMMAP Inc. has launched the Mine Action Information Management and Analysis Project. Through Secondary Data Review and information consolidation, the project aims to strengthen assessment and analysis capacities in Ukraine’s mine action sector by addressing challenges in the comprehensiveness, consistency, and operational value of data and information related to explosive ordnance contamination and clearance activities.
As part of the project’s efforts to increase the visibility of its analysis and improve access to the insights generated, we are seeking a UX/UI Designer to support us in designing wireframes for the projects’ website page and ensuring the online user experience is optimized
Presentation
Description Of Duties
- Work closely with the project team to gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Develop and illustrate website design concepts using storyboards, process flows, and wireframes
- Design web interface elements such as menus, tabs, buttons, search fields, and widgets
- Create UI mockups and prototypes that clearly demonstrate website functionality and appearance
- Produce original graphics for the web, including images, banners, icons, and tables
- Develop and present early-stage design mockups and concepts to internal teams and key stakeholders for feedback and refinement
- Create user stories, personas, and website-specific journey maps to guide design decisions
- Collaborate with developers to ensure website designs are technically feasible and implemented correctly
- Present and communicate insights in order to help shape long-term product strategy
- Adhere to iMMAP Inc. style standard (fonts, colors, imagery)
- Support the project team throughout the website development and implementation phases
- Website wireframes, Prototype or Click-dummy
- User stories, personas and storyboards
- Design elements for the project (logo, images, sketches, etc)
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role focus on web design
- Strong portfolio of web design projects
- Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc, InVision, Figma)
- Skilled in web design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD)
- Understanding of front-end basics (HTML, CSS) to collaborate effectively with web developers
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
