In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining secure, high-quality PHP applications that power critical business solutions. You will work closely with security and development teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure the integrity of web applications. The position offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote flexibility with collaborative engagement. You will have the opportunity to modernize legacy systems, upgrade libraries, and implement best practices that enhance performance, security, and maintainability. Accountabilities:
- Review and remediate security assessment findings in PHP applications
- Address vulnerabilities including authentication and authorization flaws
- Upgrade legacy PHP versions, libraries, and dependencies to secure, supported releases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure coding practices are followed
- Maintain documentation of implemented security fixes and code changes
- Participate in code reviews and provide guidance on best practices for secure and efficient development
- Bachelor's degree in B.Tech, B.E, or equivalent technical qualification
- 3-6 years of professional experience in PHP development
- Strong understanding of PHP application architecture and secure coding practices
- Experience in reviewing and remediating security vulnerabilities in web applications
- Familiarity with upgrading legacy systems and maintaining libraries/dependencies
- Good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Bonus: experience with hybrid development environments and contract-to-hire models
