REalyse operates in the PropTech space with a focus on data and analytics. We've built the foundational technologies powering some of the most advanced property data tools in the UK, enabling our customers to make better, faster, data-driven real estate decisions.
Our products bring together massive datasets on property, planning, demographics, and investment performance into a unified platform. We're a small, ambitious, and technically strong team solving complex problems in a fast-moving industry — and we're looking for someone who wants to help shape the next generation of property intelligence products.
The Role
We're looking for a senior full-stack engineer who combines strong technical depth with an entrepreneurial mindset — someone who can prototype quickly, deliver end-to-end, and help us scale and evolve our platforms.
You'll work across our modern data and application stack — from TypeScript and React on the front end, to Golang and PostgreSQL/ClickHouse on the backend, all deployed through AWS. You'll have a high degree of autonomy, working within a small cross-functional team that moves fast and values clarity, quality, and measurable business impact.
Requirements
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain performant front- and back-end systems across our data and analytics products.
- Prototype rapidly and iterate on ideas that can become new products or core features.
- Deliver production-quality code and infrastructure that scales reliably.
- Collaborate with product, data, and design to turn concepts into shipped features.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
- Mentor and support other engineers in modern full-stack development practices.
- Help evolve our CI/CD and deployment pipelines, with a focus on automation, observability, and developer experience.
We're not looking for a "jack of all trades" — we're looking for someone who excels in full-stack development across most of our stack and is eager to close any remaining gaps fast. You'll need to show strong, hands-on experience with:
- TypeScript & React (including modern tooling and patterns)
- TailwindCSS or an equivalent styling framework
- XState or other state machines for predictable UI logic
- REST & GraphQL API design and integration
- Data visualisation (e.g. D3.js, Recharts, or similar)
- Golang (our core backend language)
- PostgreSQL & ClickHouse, including schema design and query optimisation
- Automated testing, including unit and end-to-end (we use Vitest & Playwright)
- AWS, particularly ECS, Fargate, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, and related DevOps tooling
- Familiarity with geospatial data and web mapping (e.g. vis.gl, Deck.gl, Mapbox, PostGIS)
- Proven experience building and optimising APIs for large data volumes
- Ability to design, set up, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with React Native and delivering mobile app experiences
- Experience working with AI-assisted tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or prompt-based workflows) and awareness of their trade-offs
- Demonstrated ability to work in a start-up or scale-up environment, wearing multiple hats when required
- Strong sense of product ownership — you can articulate not only how something should be built, but why
- You think and act like an owner — entrepreneurial, proactive, and self-driven.
- You can move fast without compromising quality.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in an environment where priorities evolve.
- You care about measurable impact — technical, product, and business.
- You value clarity, simplicity, and maintainability in your work
- [TBC] per annum, depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave + generous parental leave
- Regular social events, meetups, and game nights
- International and diverse team culture
- Educational resources and professional development opportunities
- Hybrid working flexibility
