Junior Data Analyst

As a Junior Data Analyst at the RCI Group, your primary responsibility will be to support the business by contributing actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making. In this role, you will assist in data collection, data cleansing and validation, analysis and reporting by working closely with your colleagues in the data team and other departments to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights that align with RCI Group's strategic objectives.


Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of existing mandatory reporting.
  • Develop our wider dashboarding efforts across the group.
  • Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of data within the Data Lake for further analysis and modelling.
  • Automate and streamline tasks, both within the team and across the wider business.
  • Support the development and implementation of data analysis models and algorithms to drive business solutions and strategic insights.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Present data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner, translating data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in data analysis, recommending and implementing best practices and tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.


Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Some experience in data analysis, with a basic understanding of leveraging data to drive business impact.
  • Proficiency in data mining, statistical analysis, and basic machine learning algorithms.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL and data processing and visualization tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Fabric desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex problems requiring an analytical, quantitative approach.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in data analysis.
