Join Metro South Health’s Digital Health & Informatics team as a Permanent Full-Time Principal Project Manager and lead the delivery of large-scale, complex digital health projects that transform patient care and strengthen Queensland’s digital health landscape.
Your New Role
As a Principal Project Manager within Digital Project Delivery, Digital Health & Informatics, you'll lead the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of large, complex digital health projects. You'll apply best-practice project management principles to deliver innovative solutions that improve health outcomes and support Metro South Health's digital transformation goals. You will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of major digital health projects within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and documentation covering scope, risks, benefits, governance, and quality.
- Apply PRINCE2, Agile, or similar frameworks to drive structure, transparency, and efficiency.
- Foster stakeholder engagement and collaboration across clinical, executive, and technical teams.
- Provide strategic advice and expert project management guidance to governance groups and steering committees.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, supporting performance, capability, and professional growth.
- Promote continuous improvement by refining project management processes and tools across Digital Health & Informatics.
You're an experienced digital health project leader with a proven record of managing complex initiatives from concept to completion. You excel at bringing structure to complexity, building trusted relationships, and delivering technology solutions that make a difference. You'll demonstrate your success with:
- Extensive experience managing multiple complex digital or ICT projects, ideally in a health environment.
- Strong working knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile, or PMBOK project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to develop and manage business cases, budgets, risk frameworks, and project governance models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of an organisation.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate multidisciplinary teams toward shared goals and successful outcomes.
- Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
