Our client is a profitable, stable U.S.-based SaaS company helping property managers inspect and document properties through mobile and web tools. Used daily by 20,000+ active users across residential, commercial, and vacation rentals, their platform has processed over 100 million inspection photos since 2014. With a new mobile version underway and an AI-powered reporting assistant recently launched, they’re expanding their design team to keep the experience simple and consistent as they scale.
Your Role
As a UX/UI Designer, you’ll work across iOS, Android, and web to improve inspection and reporting workflows. You’ll partner closely with the Senior Product Designer and report to the Head of Engineering, translating complex tasks into intuitive screens and thorough specs.
You’ll:
- Design mobile-first flows for capture, review, and syncing
- Break down multi-step tasks into clear screens and microcopy
- Apply platform-correct patterns across iOS, Android, and responsive web
- Expand and refine the design system for component consistency
- Deliver annotated specs with states, behavior, and accessibility notes
- Prototype in Figma and test ideas with users and internal teams
- Collaborate with engineering from handoff through QA and release
- Document design decisions to keep work searchable and reusable
- 1-3 years of product design experience (mobile + some web)
- Portfolio showing flows, prototypes, and shipped UI
- Strong grasp of iOS/Android patterns and responsive principles
- Experience creating detailed, annotated specs
- Hands-on Figma skills for design and prototyping
- Familiarity with design systems and component-driven work
- Collaborative mindset with engineers during handoff and QA
- Awareness of accessibility fundamentals (contrast, tap targets, text size)
- Experience with offline-first mobile apps
- Familiarity with property management or field service tools
- Comfort testing across varied devices and connection speeds
- Prior work with voice interfaces or AI-powered features
- Full-time remote contractor role (~40 hrs/week)
- $1,500–3,000 USD/month, paid weekly in USD, depending on experience and location
- 2 weeks PTO + 8 local holidays (prorated)
- Company-provided laptop if needed
