BroadPress is a next-generation corporate CMS and a powerful WordPress alternative, built for enterprises demanding speed, reliability, and scalability. Developed on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) with Cloudinary integration, it ensures high performance, flexibility, and optimized media management for content-heavy websites.

We are looking for passionate candidates to join this mega project through a remote internship where candidates can access great opportunities to learn, lead, and contribute while sharpening skills in real-world projects. Interns will work with developers on open-source initiatives, optimize performance, integrate APIs, work with modern databases, know the latest technologies of the modern IT industry and gain hands-on experience building responsive, scalable web applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining server-side applications using languages like Node.js & Expres.js.  
• Work with the team to design and optimize APIs for integration with frontend applications.  
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.  
• Design and implement databases and data storage solutions (e.g. MongoDB & PostgreSQL).  
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.  
• Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Integrate front-end and back-end components to ensure performance, security, and scalability.
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Help maintain and enhance backend systems for efficient data processing and retrieval.  
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and bugs.  
• Work with DevOps teams to integrate backend systems with cloud platforms and deployment pipelines.  
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve backend architecture.  
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in backend development.  

Preferred Skills or Interests

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs for frontend communication.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL for efficient data storage and management.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Deploy, manage, and monitor backend applications on cloud platforms like Netlify, Vercel or Render. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in a timely manner.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless system integration.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
