Job Overview

  • A leading organization in Belgium is seeking a Lead Technical Consultant – Microsoft 365 to oversee the optimization, configuration, and governance of its Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The consultant will conduct a comprehensive audit of existing deployments, design strategic improvement plans, and guide technical teams in implementing best practices across Intune, Defender, Teams, and associated services.
  • This position requires a seasoned Microsoft 365 expert capable of driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and enhancing collaboration tools usage across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, and Teams configurations to identify gaps, optimize performance, and ensure compliance and security.
  • Evaluate license usage for cost efficiency and develop a roadmap for M365 optimization aligned with business needs.
  • Create and execute adoption, training, and support plans for IT teams and end users. Implement best practices for Intune, Defender, Entra ID, Azure AD, and Teams while maintaining robust security and compliance frameworks.
  • Provide expert technical support, conduct workshops, and coach administrators on advanced functionalities.
  • Continuously recommend improvements based on feedback and new Microsoft 365 features, ensuring adherence to standards such as ISO 27001 and NIS2.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, Azure AD, Entra ID, and Teams.
  • Strong background in cloud security, compliance, and endpoint management.
  • Fluent in French (native) with good command of English.
  • Hands-on experience in M365 license optimization and configuration audits.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor technical and non-technical users.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Namur with occasional travel across Wallonia business units.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900) – an advantage

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
  • Prior experience in migration projects to Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Familiarity with NIS2 directive or ISO 27001 compliance preparation.
  • Experience working within the transportation or public sector is an asset.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Mode: Two fixed remote days per week (onsite presence mandatory on Mondays).
  • Work Hours:
  • Start: 7:30–9:00 | Lunch: 11:45–14:00 | End: 16:00–19:00
  • Mandatory presence between 9:00–11:45 and 14:00–16:00.

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
