About The Role
The Retail Implementation Project Manager is responsible to develop and grow the direct retail business of Dyson according to the business strategy of each country and to implement the store openings. In this role, it’s key to deliver consistent, and continuous high-level execution of Dyson Demo stores. Key duties will include:
- Collaborating with internal, external and market stakeholders and you are tasked with bringing retail briefs to life, from financial feasibility to oversee the execution of new stores, store refurbishment and new product launches to keep our standards at the same high level and guarantee a seamless customer experience and execution.
- Forming the bridge between Dysons market and global retail including design, development, IT, production and retail marketing and with external vendors. Therefore, strong project management skills combined with a strong constructional and financial background are required. The ability to work with international team members in the EMEA hub and across the boarders is crucial to define and optimize the perfect cooperation and standards.
- As the business is growing rapidly, you need to move with pace, efficiency and flexibility, while ensuring flawless execution across all tiers of Retail. From the beginning onwards, you will be part and take ownership for the project - from business cases until the final execution of the stores, including investment tracker, Capex, Overhead & BBI cost management.
- Visiting store on a regular basis is required (site survey, possession date, 2-3 weeks prior store opening until official hand over) and need to be managed by you with market contacts.
- You be an excellent communicator updating on project progress, risk, cost, options to solve problems and delivery on a regular basis.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience and proven record in similar project management position in retail
- Background in architecture is a plus
- Experience with reviewing construction and fixture drawings; an appreciation of materials and production methods.
- Strong project management experience and an ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong reporting capability focusing on cost, risk, progress.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the state of premium retail, as well as highest standards of client experience, to support business decisions and develop a strong Retail culture within the region
- Experience in taking a project from conceptualization to implementation
- Ability on defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities; outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver project on budget; preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones; managing delivery of the project according to plan; tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders; identifying and mitigating potential risks
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies & best practices
- Fluent in English written & spoken
