About the role
Build front-end experiences that scale globally.
At Smart Working, we’re pushing the boundaries of front-end architecture to deliver performant, maintainable, and user-focused applications. Join our high-performing engineering team as a Senior Front-End Developer (Vue/Nuxt), where you’ll design modern web applications with Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and Tailwind, while driving coding standards, mentoring developers, and shaping best practices across the squad.
- Lead development of scalable front-end solutions using Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Establish and enforce coding conventions through code reviews, linting, and documentation
- Optimise front-end performance with tools and practices that scale to enterprise demands
- Mentor junior and midweight developers, sharing knowledge and guiding best practices
- Collaborate across teams (Product, UX, Back-End, QA) to translate requirements into clear technical solutions
- 5+ years of front-end development experience with strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS
- 3+ years with Vue.js and 2+ years with Nuxt.js, delivering production-ready applications
- Proficient in Tailwind CSS, capable of building responsive, maintainable interfaces
- Hands-on with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest) and state management tools (Pinia, Vuex), ensuring code quality at scale
- Comfortable with modern build pipelines (Webpack, Rollup, Vite) and experienced in integrating RESTful APIs into complex applications
- Proven ability to optimise performance and scalability in enterprise front-end systems
- TypeScript
- CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
- AWS CloudFront, S3, Lambda (serverless exposure)
- Experience with micro frontends or modular front-end architecture
- Knowledge of accessible design standards (WCAG)
- Docker (development/testing environments)
- You’ll sharpen your expertise in front-end performance, scalable architecture, and modern frameworks while mentoring a squad of developers and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (PM, UX, QA, Back-End).
