Title: Production Engineer
Duration: 6 months (initial)

Work Mode: On-site (5 days/week, some flexibility to 3 days)
Description:
Join a leading global financial services firm as a Production Engineer, supporting the performance, availability, and reliability of critical business applications. This role focuses on cloud infrastructure, automation, middleware, and production service monitoring. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth, scalable, and secure service delivery in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage performance, availability, and monitoring of production services.
- Deploy, maintain, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS).
- Automate processes using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or GitLab pipelines).
- Administer middleware solutions such as HAProxy, Kong, and Apache.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and maintain high service reliability.
- Maintain documentation, monitor logs, and implement alerts for production systems.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong experience managing production services, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Linux and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (RDS, S3, EC2).
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Experience with middleware/load balancing technologies: HAProxy, Kong, Apache.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
Desirable:
- Experience with artifact management tools (Sonatype Nexus, JFrog Artifactory).
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, Nagios, Zabbix, New Relic).
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Prior experience in financial services or similar high-availability environments.
