PMO Analyst


Sanderson has partnered with a leading insurance company to recruit a PMO analyst on a 6 month contract for their transformation team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior PMO and Head of Transformation to help oversee the delivery of various change programs.


Responsibilities:


Benefits & Costs

  • Benefit Tracking: Identify and report variances from the benefits defined in the business case.
  • Cost Management: Provide a clear comparison of actual versus budgeted costs and forecast future expenses to aid decision-making.
  • Resource Management: Maintain an overview of capacity planning and resource forecasting across the portfolio.

Logs Maintenance

  • Update and manage the risk log, action log, decisions log, and issue register.

Committee Reporting

  • Assist in compiling a portfolio-level overview for the transformation committee.
  • Record minutes, actions, and decisions during committee meetings.

Programme Support

  • Provide training, specialist advice, and programme management support as needed.
  • Help update the Planview system with program data.

Oversight

  • Promote and champion the change framework, ensuring adherence across the portfolio.
  • Act as the risk champion for the transformation team, monitoring the risk and control environment for change delivery in a timely manner.
  • Gather data for any second-line risk and internal audit reviews.

Documentation

  • Collect mandatory program documents and sign-offs, storing them in the central PMO repository.
  • Support the Senior PMO Analyst in their responsibilities.


Skills:

  • A project management qualification is desirable.
  • Friendly, proactive, and professional, with a desire to expand your experience across various projects and activities.
  • Knowledge of the Life & Pensions industry or financial services is essential.
  • Experience in a project management office is preferred or relevant experience in a related capacity.
  • Familiarity with project, program, and portfolio reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with resource and cost budgeting and forecasting.
  • Understanding of managing risks, issues, and interdependencies related to projects.
