Our client is a global systematic hedge fund who is driven by a passion for data and collaboration, building scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions that power predictive modelling in finance. As part of a small, dedicated group, this role is critical in maintaining and advancing the firm’s research infrastructure and supporting live trading operations across global markets, including equities, futures, options, and other financial instruments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and manage new datasets, including vendor engagement and data quality assessment.
• Build and maintain tools and processes for efficient data ingestion, tagging, cleaning, and automation.
• Analyze datasets to uncover insights and potential alpha signals for Portfolio Managers.

Desirable Candidates:

• Ph.D./Masters in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or another disciplines involving quantitative analysis
• At least 1 year of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst
• Experience working with large data sets, including classification, regression, distribution analysis, and predictive modelling
• Experience applying statistical tests to large data sets
• Programming skills in SQL and Python
