Network Support Engineer (Fortinet SD-WAN)



This is a fantastic opportunity for a Network Support Engineer to join a well-established organisation that operates one of the UK’s most critical and complex transport networks.


Based just minutes from London Bridge Station, you’ll be part of a collaborative in-house team supporting and improving network infrastructure that keeps millions connected and moving every day.


You’ll gain hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN and Cisco Routing & Switching, with a clear progression path into project delivery and design-focused work as you develop. This role suits a CCNA-level engineer looking for a technically rewarding position with strong long-term career prospects.


Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting across Fortinet SD-WAN and Cisco network infrastructure.

• Monitor, maintain, and optimise LAN/WAN performance across multiple sites.

• Assist in network upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.

• Work closely with the wider IT and infrastructure teams on project deployments.

• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while maintaining strong service levels.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and network documentation.


Skills / Must Have:

• CCNA-level knowledge of routing, switching, and network fundamentals.

• Experience supporting Cisco network environments.

• Exposure to Fortinet firewalls or SD-WAN (training provided).

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• A genuine desire to progress into project and design work.

Salary:

£55,000 – £65,000 per annum
