We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated PMO for an exciting project within Telecom!

About the Role

Syone is looking for a Project Management Officer (PMO) to join a strategic client within the telecom sector, supporting their newly created division focused on operational cost control, digital transformation initiatives, and cross-functional projects in both B2C and B2B segments.

This position will be exclusively focused on the B2B area, acting as the right hand to the client's Deputy Country Administrator (No. 2 in Portugal), ensuring high-level control and governance over multiple strategic projects and sub-projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the high-level management of all B2B-related projects and sub-projects within the transformation program.
  • Act as a central point of contact and coordination between decision-makers across business units, ensuring alignment and strategic coherence.
  • Monitor project milestones, risks, interdependencies, and resource allocation at a portfolio level.
  • Produce executive-level reports, dashboards, and status updates for senior leadership.
  • Support in the preparation and facilitation of steering committees and strategic review meetings.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of project governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation plans, escalation points, and corrective actions where necessary.
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders (not technical teams) to ensure consistent delivery aligned with business goals.


Profile We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a PMO role, preferably in complex and multi-project environments.
  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio management principles, tools, and governance.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, especially with executive and decision-making profiles.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive structure in transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Business-oriented mindset with a focus on value delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in the telecom sector or large corporate environments is a plus.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (both written and spoken) – essential for stakeholder engagement and reporting.


Tools & Methodologies

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, or equivalent.
  • Experience with portfolio dashboards, KPI tracking, and executive reporting.
  • Knowledge of agile and traditional project methodologies is a plus (Scrum, Prince2, PMBOK, etc.).
