As a Backend Development Intern with Ori, you'll be building the future of receipt management. 

You'll be working with a small team under the direction of our CTO in a funded early-stage startup to iterate quickly and help bring the first version of our app to market. You'll work on the backend server, which is currently built with Java and Spring Boot, with plenty of opportunity for greenfield feature development. 

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy a backend server to support a cross-platform mobile app 

• Collaborate closely with the mobile team to architect solutions 

• Leverage complex machine-learning based technologies, like optical character 

recognition 

• Interact with numerous APIs to load and communicate the right data at the right time 

• Secure sensitive user data from attackers that might want it 

• Write internationalized code to produce an app localized into several languages 

• Build systems with accessibility, security, and scalability in mind 

Technologies you'll work with:

• Java-based server with Spring Boot 

• MVC architecture 

• Data storage with PostgreSQL 

• Tests with Mockito 

• Deployment in a VPS on OVHcloud 

• API design and integration 

• AI tools like OCR and LLMs 

Things you'll learn:  

• Product-centred thinking with scalability in mind 

• Clean API design and implementation 

• Technical writing for clear documentation 

• Test-driven development and verification 

• Deployment best practices in production environments
