iOS Engineer - Social Experiences

At Spotify, we’re reimagining how people connect through music and audio. As an iOS Engineer focused on the core experience, you’ll help shape the way millions of listeners express themselves, share, and interact with others on Spotify. Recently, we launched in-app sharing and messaging, a new feature that represents a major step toward making Spotify a more social platform. Now, we’re looking for an iOS Engineer who is excited about designing and building user-centric experiences that bring people closer through music and conversation. This is your chance to help define the future of social interaction at Spotify.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Android, backend, and product teams to iterate on social features like in-app sharing and messaging, informed by real-world user behavior and feedback.
• Enhance and personalize the Spotify Profile page, making it a central way for users to express their identity.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that raises the bar for mobile engineering practices.
• Contribute to the architecture, best practices, and technical direction of iOS development at Spotify.
  
  

Who You Are

• You’re experienced with Swift and have a solid grasp of modern iOS development practices and tools.
• You’re skilled in Cocoa Touch, UIKit, SwiftUI patterns, and API design.
• You communicate effectively and enjoy collaborating across platforms and disciplines.
• You prioritize team success over individual achievement and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.
• You’re curious about other areas like Android or backend development—bonus points if you’ve dabbled in them.
• You’re interested in how AI can enhance workflows and know when to use it to move faster.
  
  

Where You’ll Be

• This role is based in Stockholm or London.
• We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
