In the role of Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for making sure the product or service delivered by a company meets the required quality standards before it reaches the customer. We are looking for experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our QA team and ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining quality standards, managing testing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, Implement, and maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with aerospace standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, AQAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Lead audits and certification efforts, including internal, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits; manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards, contractual obligations, and industry regulations throughout the production lifecycle.
- Oversee quality planning, inspection processes, and documentation for all aerospace components and systems.
- Disposition of non-conformances, ensuring root cause analysis and appropriate corrective actions are executed.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management teams to integrate quality objectives and ensure product reliability.
- Monitor and report key quality metrics and performance indicators, driving continuous improvement through data analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
BASIC SKILLS
- In-Depth Knowledge of Aerospace Quality Standards. Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, AQAP and other relevant standards.
- Proven ability to lead QA teams, manage performance, and build a culture of quality and accountability.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory teams.
- Proficient in implementing, maintaining, and improving QMS (Quality Management Systems). Experience managing internal/external audits, including CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Strong in root cause analysis, risk assessment, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, especially those common in aerospace (e.g., machining, composites, welding, assembly).
- Strong in documentation control, including test reports, inspection records, and regulatory filings.
- Day-to-day responsibilities require good level of English and Latvian to communicate with clients and colleagues from Latvia and other countries
- A self-organized, proactive mindset, with the ability to mentor other team members while being a reliable team player
