Streaming Engineer (WFH)
Job Description
- Architect and build a new streaming platform (live ingestion → transcoding → playback).
- Implement low-latency protocols (WebRTC, CMAF, or similar) for interactive video.
- Integrate with CDN/edge delivery solutions (AWS IVS, Cloudflare Stream, or custom).
- Develop APIs for stream management, user auth, and monetization.
- Work with Product Team to support features like chat, betting overlays, and moderation tools.
- Ensure platform is scalable, cost-efficient, and compliant with global regulations.
- Optimize video quality (adaptive bitrate streaming, encoding efficiency).
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related.
- 5+ years of backend/streaming development experience.
- Proven experience scaling streaming platforms for large audiences.
- Experience with live sports betting or interactive entertainment platforms is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of WebRTC, HLS/DASH, RTMP, FFmpeg, media servers (Wowza, Janus, Ant Media, etc.).
- Strong programming skills in Node.js, Go, or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud streaming services (AWS IVS, GCP Media, Cloudflare Stream).
