As a public organization, we are committed to protecting and handling our audience’s personal information in the most transparent and ethical way possible. To help us achieve this, we are looking for a Full Stack Developer to work with the SSO (Single Sign-On) Account Authentication team.

CBC/Radio-Canada is the largest broadcaster in Canada and this team is at the very heart of the authentication and personalized content experience. The product vision of the SSO (Single Sign-On) team is to harmonize all of the English and French Services of CBC/Radio-Canada’s audience facing authentication systems into one unified system. Once implemented, the product will bring value to the end-user by simplifying the authentication process, unlock the potential for a personalized experience, and offer a single unified view of CBC and Radio-Canada authenticated users. You will be working with a cross-functional product team, which is located in Toronto and Montreal.The team is involved with designing standardized self-contained login/logout components for use across the web and mobile that integrate to third party APIs. Planning and communication with other teams is also necessary to ensure a smooth transition of authentication and safe deployment.
How you will make an impact:
In this role, you will work alongside a team of back-end and full stack developers, UX expert and Quality Engineers. There will also be collaboration with other teams in CBC/Radio-Canada to find ways to enhance the Account experience to serve our audience better. Our authentication system is foundational to how our audience will control what data they share with CBC to ensure privacy protection.

What you bring to our team:
- Three or more years of experience in a senior development role.
- The communication skills. You know how to listen and relay empathy and understanding for diverse perspectives.
- The education: A Computer Science, Engineering degree or equivalent is preferred, but we know not everyone gains their programming skills this way. You have the knowledge and understanding of software development and testing best practices. You are passionate about learning new technologies and exploring innovative solutions.
- The tools:
- Developed enterprise applications that may have used ReactJS or another framework.
- Strong understanding of Javascript, React, Typescript.
- Working knowledge of .NET and Python.
- Knowledge of SSO implementation e.g. LoginRadius and Azure AD B2C (AADB2C)
- Ability to follow test-driven development, containerization, cloud environments and test automation tools are an asset.
- Knowledge of Azure is an asset.
- Knowledge of Android / iOS development is an asset.
- The collaborative Agile experience. You enjoy collaboration, pair-programming, and knowledge sharing. You do your best work in a team-focused environment. You believe in the Agile methodology, and you are flexible and open to change. You are comfortable with iterative and incremental development.
- Understanding of quality engineering practices.
- Understanding of audience impact for a media and broadcasting company and developing best in class UX experiences.
