About The Role
Job Type: Full-Time, This is an in-office position with daily travel to client sites.
We are seeking a skilled IT Network Engineer to work as part of our team in our Muncie, IN location. This position is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions. Ideal candidate will have a strong background in key technology areas such as Microsoft, Networking, Server Systems, Firewalls, Hosting, and application/system upgrades/migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, and support IT solutions across various platforms, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Perform system upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to client operations.
- Prepare and present technical proposals and solution design documents to clients
- Work closely with team and clients to provide technical guidance and ensure successful project execution.
Skills for success
- Verbal & Written Communication: Ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: experience in troubleshooting, analyzing an resolving complex IT challenges.
- Network troubleshooting with addition of cable testing and terminations
- Understanding and basics of fiber optic cabling, Windows Server provisioning, Group Policies, Security Groups, Active Directory, Shared folders and permissions, desktop setup and deployment.
- DNS management with domain service.
- Managed switch setup, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting.
- WIFI setup, deployment, management, troubleshooting.
- Firewall setup, deployment, management, troubleshooting.
- VPN Configuration and management.
- Excellent customer relations and documentation.
- Strong experience in MS365 User setup, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Security Score review and management.
- Experience in on-premises to cloud and cloud-cloud migrations are a definite plus.
- Active Directory
- M365 experience in user set up, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS security

- Firewall setup, deployment, management, and troubleshooting
- Hosting
- Application and system upgrades/migrations
- Virtual environments (Hyper V and/or VMware
- Access points
- VPN Configuration and management
- Windows server migration
- Public and Private cloud migration
- Must be a team player and adhere to industry standards.
- Fortinet Firewall expertise
- MSP work experience
- Familiarity with RMM tool N-Able/Proview a plus)
- Datto
- Veeam
- MS Server 2016 or better
- MS Desktop / Windows 11
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco Entry level switches and firewall certification
