Vice President of Radar & Electronic Warfare Systems
Domain Focus: Electronic Warfare, Radar Systems & Cross-Domain Integration Supports:
Defense Systems with Multi-Sensor Fusion & AI-Driven Threat Detection
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership in Radar & Electronic Warfare (EW):
- Lead the development of advanced radar systems (e.g., AESA, X-band polarimetric weather radar, UAV detection radar) and EW solutions (e.g., COMINT/ELINT, SIGINT, radar jamming).
- Drive innovation in multi-function RF systems, including electronic attack (EA), electronic protection (EP), and electronic support measures (ESM).
- Oversee AI-powered signal processing for real-time threat detection, classification, and response in contested environments.
Program & Engineering Management:
- Manage large-scale defense programs, including radar modernization, counter-UAS systems, and missile defense integration.
- Direct R&D in electronic warfare (EW) test systems, such as radar/communication threat simulators for ELINT/COMINT validation.
- Ensure international standard compliance for ruggedized defense electronics (e.g., radar frontends, datalinks, and mission computers).
Multi-Domain EW Integration:
- Develop early warning radar payloads for ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance).
- Integrate radar and EW systems with unmanned platforms (UAVs, USVs, AUVs).
- Lead SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) and ISAR (Inverse SAR) algorithm development for all-weather targeting.
Industry & Defense Collaboration:
- Partner with defense contractors to enhance localized radar/EW production.
- Establish university R&D programs in AI/ML for radar signal processing and cognitive EW.
Talent Development:
- Build an engineering workforce in radar systems, EW, and AI/ML for defense.
- Develop training programs for electronic warfare officers (EWOs) and radar systems engineers.
- Promote technology localization to reduce dependency on foreign defense suppliers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.Sc. in Engineering or Science (M.Sc./Ph.D. preferred).
- Experience: 25+ years in defense radar, EW, and SIGINT, including:
- Leadership in AESA radar, SAR, ELINT/COMINT, and threat simulation.
- Hands-on expertise in RF design, real-time signal processing, and international standard compliance.
- Program management of UAV payloads, and missile defense systems.
