As a Product Designer II, you’ll help shape the next generation of productivity experiences, reimagining how people get work done in the age of AI. You’ll turn deep user insights into end-to-end product journeys that balance emotional resonance with functional clarity, crafting solutions that elevate how billions of people create and connect every day. In this role, you’ll shape design concepts, prototypes, and detailed specifications that translate seamlessly into world-class experiences — partnering closely with engineering, product, and research to align vision, execution, and impact. Beyond shaping products, you’ll also help transform the design process itself — building durable, AI-powered tools and workflows that embody Microsoft’s mission to become an AI-native organization, where intelligence and craft come together to amplify human potential.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

- Champion craft and design excellence, ensuring every interaction, visual, and flow embodies precision, empathy, and the signature quality users expect from Microsoft 365.
- Design for an AI-native world, translating cutting-edge technology such as chat, voice, agentic workflows, and contextual intelligence into intuitive, human-centered experiences.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies, continuously exploring new interaction patterns and shaping the future of productivity through curiosity and experimentation.
- Deliver with passion and purpose, creating prototypes and narratives that inspire, align, and bring bold ideas to life for millions of users worldwide.
- Lead through collaboration and execution, navigating complexity and driving results through partnership, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to innovation and impact.

- A portfolio that tells a powerful story demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, visual and interaction design excellence, prototyping skill, and the ability to translate user insights into elegant, usable experiences.
- Depth across the design craft, with mastery in information architecture, interaction patterns, systems thinking, and micro-interactions coupled with a sharp sense for usability, coherence, and detail.
- Proven ability to drive complex design problems through cross-functional collaboration, balancing creativity, user insight, data, and execution to deliver high-impact experiences on time and at quality.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
